Tigers Serve Up 3-1 Win Over Pelion

It was another career night for junior Bri Strobert as the Swansea High School volleyball team posted a 3-1 win over Pelion High School on Tuesday night. The win moves the Tigers to 3-2 on the season.

Pelion won the first set 25-17, but it was all Swansea for the next three sets as the Tigers rallied to defeat the Panthers 25-19 in the second and third stanzas, and 25-18 in the game-winning set. Strobert tied her season high of 14 kills while hitting .500. Senior Leah Knight led Swansea with 15 digs and two aces. Sophomore Kaitlyn Studebaker tallied 30 assists, three blocks, 14 digs and one ace. Alex Mack posted six aces, while Morgan Crocker added nine kills while hitting .438.

Up next for the Tigers is a trip across town as they take on Brookland-Cayce on Thursday. Game time is set for 6:30 p.m. Come out and support your Tigers!
